I've been trying to post something every day in order to keep our limited readership interested. Unfortunately the connectivity in the Navajo nation is not what one might hope. So I am going to do a quick text update. We spent a solid day yesterday exploring the cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde. The girls were pretty engaged. We headed in to Cortez, CO late afternoon for an oil change (we will probably need at least one more before we are done), a car wash, dinner, and an early movie (Spiderman).
We decided to blow off petrified forest after an old cowboy in the oil change place told the kids it was boring. Instead we decided to go to the Glen Canyon Dam and lake Powell. We swam in Lake Powell and it was awesome, particularly since it is really hot outside here. Tomorrow we have a lazy morning followed by a raft trip down the Colorado river downstream of the dam in the afternoon. I will post more pictures when I have more than an iPhone Edge network to work with.
