We stopped for ice cream at King's Canyon Lodge on the way back. Despite the name, the Lodge is a privately owned operation and very funky. Note the full sized stuffed deer behind Nat and the skins hanging from the ceiling. The gas pumps are 85 year old gravity fed models and are still in use (the quoted price is in liters and ends up being about $6 a gallon).
