We stayed at a commercial campground just outside the boundaries of the park. The Virgin River (which runs through Zion Canyon) is just beyond the trees in the second picture and the main campground within the park is just on the other side of the river. We chose this over the campground in the park mainly because it had showers. The downside to the commercial campgrounds it that they usually are little more than RV parking lots with electrical, water, sewer and sometimes cable TV to each site. This one had a little more charm with the river and a few trees, but the one in the park was more rustic. The backdrop was pretty awesome.
